Business Owner's Policy (BOP) |
A Business Owner's Policy (also called a BOP) provides complete coverage for small businesses by packaging several types of commercial insurance together.
A BOP can be a good option for a business that employs fewer than 100 people and has sales of less than $5 Million in a year.
Business Owner's Insurance can be customized to fit the needs of the business and may include commercial property insurance, commercial auto insurance, crime insurance, commercial liability insurance and income loss insurance among other options.
Every business is unique. If you are considering BOP insurance, be sure to ask about industry specific coverage which may play an important role in protecting your business.

Flood Insurance |
According to the National Flood Insurance Program, 25% of flood insurance claims come from properties located in low to moderate risk areas. Flooding can result from hurricanes, tropical storms, broken levees, clogged drainage systems, changes in the development of land surrounding the property, or rapid rainfall.
Ask anyone whose property has been damaged by flooding about their experience. They will tell you that just a few inches of water inside building can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage. Property Insurance does NOT cover damage caused by flooding. The ONLY way to protect your investment in the case of a flood is by having Flood Insurance.
Flood Insurance is available through the National Flood Insurance Program. Click Here to visit their website for more information about protecting your property in the event of a flood. There is typically a 30-day waiting period from the time that you request flood insurance until it takes effect, so don't wait until the last minute to make the investment.
If your property is located in a high risk area for flooding, your lender will require you to carry flood insurance. However, even some folks whose property is located outside of a high risk area should consider protecting themselves with flood insurance. Click Here to access a flood map of your area. |
